Customer Appreciation Day 2016

Please join AgFertilizers, Inc. for our annual customer appreciation day to show how thankful we are for your business! The day will feature food, door prizes, and much more. Jim Sargent “Sarge” will broadcast live on KMON and AgXplore representatives will be visiting to answer any questions. The day’s presentation topics will include: agricultural marketing, aerial imagery services, and crop chemistry price trends. The event will be held at the AgFertilizers headquarters at 5 N Manchester RD, Great Falls, MT 59404. 9:30-11:00 am: Dr. Kevin Price, Executive Vice President of Research & Development of AgPixel:
Current uses of aerial imagery in the agricultural sector and their continued importance even during times of low commodity prices.
Dr. Kevin Price grew up working on a farm/ranch in the very rural area of the state of Utah. He was a professor for 27 years and adviser to over 80 Ph.D. and Masters students. He retired from Kansas State University (KSU) in March of 2014, but continues to hold the title of Professor Emeritus in Agronomy at KSU. In March of 2014 he became the Executive Vice President of AgPixel working out of Des Moines, Iowa. He is an author of over 400 publications and served as adviser on drone applications in agriculture to the US National Research Council. He has conducted research in 14 counties and is among the pioneers in the application of drone remote sensing technologies in agriculture. He is cited in over 50 news articles and has spoken to over 15,000 conference attendees in the past two years on the topic.
11:00-12:15 pm: Jerry Welch, Commodity Insite
Jerry Welch has been in the futures industry since the late 1970’s and is a true veteran of the markets. He has been quoted often in Wall Street Journal and is author of Commodity Insite, one of the longest commodity futures newspaper columns in history. His weekly column has been published each week since the mid 1980’s and is one of the most recognized names in the world of commodities. His column is published by the Illinois Agri News in La Salle, Illinois, Cattle Today, in Fayette, Alabama as well as Consensus, in Kansas City, Kansas.

Barnett is a graduate of the University of Wyoming with a Masters in Science in the field of Agricultural and Applied Economics. He joined AgFertilizers in 2015 following a successful career with the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service, serving both at the USDA Headquarters in Washington, D.C. and as a Foreign Agricultural Affairs Officer (Agricultural Attache) at U.S. Embassy Guatemala City. He and his wife, Dr. Kristen Boroff, live in Choteau, Montana.
